The TikTok nuns: ‘If we’re hidden, we’re going to die out’The nuns had arrived at the invitation of Archdeacon Fr John O’Sullivan to a town impoverished after the Famine. As well as their involvement in education, they established a lace-making industry to help lift Kenmare out of dire poverty. Two of the schools they founded – St John’s National School and Pobalscoil Inbhear Scéine – still serve the young people of Kenmare.
One of their founding members, the famous “Nun of Kenmare”, Sr Mary Francis or Margaret Anna Cusack – who was born into a wealthy Protestant Anglo-Irish family – had taken on the local landlord over his treatment of his tenants.
Perfect space for some unvetted , undocumented foreign Albanian rapists and former Syrian isis terrorists and murderers. God Bless Leo 🙏
Sad day! Sr Mary Francis Cusack was an amazing character, an unsung of hero of Christianity and feminism. A ‘Renaissance Woman’ multi-talented author of many books - written to earn income for her convents. Anyone interested in Irish women should learn more about her. ‘Kick Ass’
To put Ukraines in there
Would that they were run out of it
Should of been ran out a long time ago.
The predictable jeers here probably had relatives who were saved by the same nuns. Many Kerry folk would have been impoverished without them. They deserve a big thanks but the Irish only want gay shite and rainbows and girls with cutoff breasts. Welcome to the new Ireland!
More accommodation for 'international applicants'! RefugeesWelcome
Hurrah!
Great.
Incoming migrants here they come, a welcome addition to Kenmare I am sure......
