Crews already are working to transform the 27,725-square-foot retail space into The Fresh Market.

The Fresh Market is rehabbing retail space on the north end of the Westridge Court shopping center on Route 59 near Jefferson Avenue for a grocery store that will look similar to this one.

Rich Dippolito, vice president of redevelopment for Brixmor, said it typically takes 12 months to construct a grocery store so customers can expect the business to open in the few months of 2024.Dippolito said Brixmor is continuing to search for permanent tenants for other locations throughout Westridge Court, including 50,000-square-foot space at 2781 Aurora Ave. where the Dick’s outlet store is now temporarily located.

Block 59 would be integrated with Westridge Court through new pedestrian connections, reconfigured parking lots and improved signage.
