Garland police are investigating the slaying of a bike store employee after the victim’s body was found at the business Thursday morning.

Officers responded about 9 a.m. to Don Johle’s Bike World in the 5500 block of Broadway Boulevard, near Duck Creek Drive. Police said an employee called after he arrived to open the store and noticed the doors were locked but the internal metal gates were open. There were no signs of forced entry, police said.

When officers entered the store, they found a man’s body. Police said the man was an employee but did not release his identity.
