Convicted fraudster Catriona Carey arrested over alleged company law breaches

Convicted fraudster Catriona Carey is in custody tonight – after investigators arrested her on suspicion of breaching company law.

She is being questioned over suspicions a company she was the sole director of – Careysfort Asset Estates ltd – broke company law. “The Central Bank believes Careysfort Asset Estates Limited is holding itself out as a person whose business consists wholly or partly of providing credit directly to a relevant person but it holds no authorisation from the Central Bank as a retail credit firm.
