The litigation was related to a sexual harassment incident involving Williamsport high school baseball players in Myrtle Beach in 2018.

against Colonial Radio Group, its general manager Todd Bartley and several media entities.

The report cited in the correction was the first in a series of articles entitled “Millionaire Baseball Mayhem in Myrtle Beach” that Bartley published Aug. 23, 2018, on the Fox Sports Williamsport website. The report alleged Miller was arrested as the perpetrator of an alleged domestic assault with his girlfriend.

Bartley’s correction states Miller was unaware of that incident, was no longer head coach when it was reported and that he maintains he was not involved with any investigation or actions taken by the school district or law enforcement related to it. He also claims that before the assault other students repeatedly used racial slurs in referring to him and afterward threatened to lynch him if he told anyone what occurred.
