dhume I do not think Democracy is India's problem. There are significant issues with corruption and (while this is improving under Modi) the difficulty in getting permits. However India's improved business climate and lower labor costs than China are making it more attractive.

dhume Agree! One ‘Reform’ that India really need to implement is to create an environment of Certainty as far as major policies like one quoted in the article is concerned. Abrupt policy changes can never be appreciated and it actually damages India’s investment outlook.
