Robb Armstrong launched what he calls the “black Sharpie revolt” after discovering that “Dilbert” creator Scott Adams made racist remarks. As “Dilbert” is dropped from newspapers, artists weigh in with condemnation, including their own satirical cartoons.

When reached by The Post, Adams declined to comment on the AMU termination. On Saturday, he texted The Post about what his client list might be: “By Monday, around zero.”, wrote Monday that what “doomed” Adams was that he “let his increasingly antisocial personal views appear in the strip.

Peterson, a retired editor, told The Post that he wished individual newspaper editors would “take responsibility” for what is in their newspapers. But “the bottom line,” he said, “is that Adams put his client papers in a position where cancellations were inevitable.” At its peak, “Dilbert” was syndicated to more than 2,000 newspapers. In the ’90s, it became an iconic strip as a daily satiric response to office cubicle culture, spawning best-selling books, calendars and a short-lived UPN television show. In 1998, Adams received the prestigious Reuben Award as outstanding cartoonist from the National Cartoonists Society.

Some other cartoonists, such as Luke McGarry and Clay Jones, depicted Adams’s titular office-drone character as bigoted

Endless lies

'racist rant' is dumbing it down quite a bit, don't you think? Are you saying telling the whole story is too complicated for your audience? Are you saying we're all morons?

If he was offered more$ after he choose to say what he did would those upset it got pulled be upset he got more? It’s life, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. He gambled & lost work. He owns his comic, not where it’s shown.

Revolt against what? A guy that got canned by people far more powerful than him for expressing dismay that half of a group of people think he and those that look like him are not ok for existing?

What was his unreasonable response about? What was he referring to and what did he actually say. Why won't any of the outlets reporting post the transcript ?

Who really cares? I remember 'All in the family' the 'Jeffersons' and 'Chico and the man (RIP Freddy)'. We used to laugh at each other while we laughed together. Races came together in humor. We were stronger then as Americans!

That guy is a morron. He knows the man. Was supposedly his friend. Collaborated with him. But people consider that what he said online once was racist, and instead of calling him to figure out the truth, takes it as an opportunity to bully him and gain publicity

A poll revealed that 43% of blacks do not like white people. Scott Adam took issue with this and is now being called a racist. You can't make this shit up.

47% of black Americans are open racist. The resentment modern day blacks have towards Asians and Whites will end in violence if this hate is not reversed

he is right.

F*cking racist woke bigoted Wapo has become You tolerate 1619 project race hate EVERY DAY You used to be a newspaper once...

What racist remarks?

Meanwhile we ignore the widespread racism in the black community.

Could you name some black media personalities fired for speech? Having lower standards of conduct for non-white people is pretty racist.

Washington Post wants to focus on the Dilbert cartoonist instead of the fact that the government and media conspired with Chinese Communist Party to lie to us about COVID.

A rational response to racism is not racism.

This being about the only “victory” the LMSM Media has over anything, it must be celebrated. When 95% of their conspiracy theories and racist blatherings are proven false, a “gotcha“ like this is cause for much examination and more Leftwing yada yada.

Save this for the history books

Adams is only venting about what huge numbers of people know to be true but are afraid to say publicly. Whites are sick of being vilified while being disproportionately positive contributors to society.

You're lying about Adams. Democracy die in Jeff Bezos' colon, WaPo.

Scott Adams was simply pointing out the racism of blacks. Washington Post is total garbage these days.

For a publication that is protected under the 1st Amendment, freedom of the press, so is Scott Adams. Whether you agree with him or not it is his right. Sadly, media now cancels you if it is something you don't agree with.

Cancel culture is still a thing

Get away from people that hate you

In the context of what he said replace 'blacks' with 'trump supporters' and marvel at the hypocrisy... que the spreaders of hate in 3...2...1...

scottadamssays did the same thing that Colin Kaepernick did. He knowingly threw away his huge income so we would get a disgust reaction jolt (“You can’t kneel for the national anthem”!!), pay attention, and have the conversation. In Scott’s case,

What’s more racist, Scott Adams or the 50%+ of black Americans who have genocidal ambitions against whites?

So we're going to ignore that 47% of black people don't feel it's ok to be white?

Not a fan of Scott Adams but he did reference a poll of blacks that clearly suggested a considerable reservoir of racism. No one seems to want to discuss the cause of his objectionable remarks.

The poll happened to reveal what we all knew: black Americans are the most racist hateful group that exists. Black nationalism is on the rise and our institutions are too cowardly to call it out.

By 'Made Racist remarks' you mean 'Pointed out Black racism.'

Lies

Dilbert rules

He spoke his reasonable, but unpopular opinion so he must be punished. Instead, maybe we should be talking about how the high pressure of extremist Woke thinking is causing the culture to buckle. It is bringing out the worst in everyone.

His comments weren't racist if you understand the context of what he was trying to communicate.

Waiting for WaPo to tar the Obamas as racist for taking Scott’s advice and moving to Martha’s Vineyard.

Honestly, just don’t be overtly racist. Stick to the subtle racism, misogyny, and anti-science that has been working for decades.

You have 20 million followers and can barely crack 50 likes.

I liked Dilbert before I ever had a job 😂 It's been very silly learning more about the author the past few years and I haven't read comics (or newspapers) in a while, but doesn't really change how I feel about Dilbert bc the artist seems very separate from the art

The poll happened before his reaction. Can we spend a moment on the poll first?

Anyone who is angry knows Scott is correct. Politically incorrect truths tend to do that.

ScottAdamsSays … grounds to sue the Washington Post?

He said 'if a very large portion of Group A doesn't like Group B, Group B should get away from Group A for both of their benefits' If you want to ascribe racism to that, you're wrong.

Is it okay to be White?

Dilbert is my new favourite comic, didn’t know the left could be so fragile.

Is the WaPo not noticing the racism in the 47% of that poll's black respondents who didn't want to say that being white is OK? Or is the reaction of one white guy the real problem here?

Black supremacy is the real threat Media: Cartoon guy!

He had some points but didn't deliver it well.

DeSantis will hire him to design a new African-American studies curriculum

Distributor of Dilbert comic strip cuts ties with Scott AdamsAndrews McMeel Chairman Hugh Andrews and CEO and President Andy Sareyan said in a joint statement that the syndication company was “severing our relationship” with Dilbert creator Scott Adams. The best comment was from Adams. “I didn’t know Cleveland had a paper” Leftists find it hard to believe there can be more than one critical race theory. It's an uncomfortable fact for them to deal with. Who knew touting segregation’s benefits would be bad for your business in 2023. Eff around and find out

'Dilbert' distributor severs ties with cartoonist Scott Adams over his racist remarksThe company that distributes the 'Dilbert' comic strip says it will no longer work with cartoonist Scott Adams because of his racist comments. Scott Adams now has his own independent channel on another website. It seems he planned this... maybe, maybe to activate 'morals clause' in his syndication contract. Again, I am not sure--I am guessing. Adams knew exactly what he was doing. Dilbert had been dropped by various newspapers before and his future income wasn't secure. He inserted himself into the culture war by relying on the media to jump on the story and the right to hail him as a free speech martyr. It worked. The entire republican RACIST party should be called DILBERT
