Amid the tech layoffs at the company, cooks, line servers, and café workers who work at those offices are worried for their jobs — and they’re demanding equal treatment.including 700 tech jobs in the Seattle regionMeta is planning to sublease several buildings in the South Lake Union neighborhood, but food service workers say they haven’t been notified about what will happen to them or their jobs.

The workers on Thursday said Meta engineers facing layoffs are getting a severance package with at least 16 weeks of pay, and an extension of health benefits — and now, they’re also demanding severance.
