Sequence, a telehealth operator, says that its specialists can prescribe medications under brand names including Ozempic, Wegovy and Trulicity.WeightWatchers offers subscribers meal plans with the goal of losing excess weight. With the acquisition of Sequence, the company is tapping into a red-hot market for prescription drugs that address obesity, and broadening what it offers to customers.

“It is our responsibility, as the trusted leader in weight management, to support those interested in exploring if medications are right for them,” said CEO Sima Sistani said in a prepared statement late Monday.

Always a good sign of effectiveness when your diet company is going to be pushing diet pills. Christ.

Unless they are going to get the medications at a discount, it won’t matter. Insurance doesn’t pay for weight loss medication and these medicines are like $1000 a month.

A delicate balance of public health medicine to be seriously watched when not backed by health expertise..very delicate when it's human health beyond kinesthetic activity with unregulated or uncertified weight loss tablets out there too..China made !

Oprah will go to any length for those pesky last 75lbs.

In fact, ww_us does not “offer meal plans” as the falsely reports. Please correct the error. weightwatchers

So risking drug addition is ok as long as it’s for weight loss? How about diet/exercise.NOT all overweight people have generic and/or health related obesity. Many ppl overeat & under move! Many adolescents & teens have body &/or drug issues so encouraging drugs to get thin is bad

horrifying

This is scary. Glad Oprah is still getting her money 🤬🤬🤬

People will do anything to avoid vigorous exercise and a strict diet
