The Associated PressThe WeightWatchers website displays its logo on a mobile phone, in New York on Tuesday. The company's shares soared on Tuesday after it said it was getting into the prescription drug weight loss business with the acquisition of Sequence.
The drugs all work by the same mechanism: They trigger the release of insulin, block sugar production in the liver and suppress appetite. They're both given as once-weekly injections. Ozempic is approved only to treat diabetes, although it has been increasingly prescribed for off-label use.
When all else fails, medicate the fuck out of them.
Cool. Make people feel like shit when they eat by drugging them with drugs that make you feel shitty when you eat. Great way to stop obesity. Can we just legalize cocaine? Wont want to eat AND feel great.
