Manufacturing confidence crashed in the reporting period, hit by the frequency of power cuts and poorly run logistics infrastructure

Business confidence dipped further in the first quarter on 2023 as the rolling blackouts hit manufacturers and retailers in particular. Sentiment among building contractors, however, held up as businesses and households rolled out renewable energy and other load-shedding mitigation measures.
