Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed a new law this week rolling back restrictions on child labor.

Sanders will also have children in mind when she signsthe state’s legislature passed on Tuesday. The law would create a new school voucher program, and also prohibit teaching about gender identity or sexual orientation before the fifth grade — as well as impose an across-the-board ban on teaching what the state calls “critical race theory” and what others call “a full description of U.S. history.”

“I’m ready to sign it into law tomorrow and end the failed status quo that has governed our education system for far too long,” Sanders said in a statement. “Every kid should have access to a quality education and a path to a good paying job and better life right here in Arkansas.”

Lobotomize the education system, sex-ed, social benefits & child labour laws to keep them: a) out of higher education & stuck in-state b) wanting ANY work to pay for baby-o-rama c) able to fill low-end jobs and push 'Jesus' vs. critical thinking to stop them asking questions.

Evil.

I guarantee you that this headline is 100% wrong in every way possible. I used to read rolling stone in my youth and early 30’s and enjoyed it very much. Now it is just another bought and paid for lobbyist for the Democratic Party. Y’all are just pitiful.

Tweeted the magazine staffer on his phone made by child labor in China. Irony is lost on this former cool music magazine.

What?! 14 or 15 year olds might get a job!? Appalling Way to mislead

Omg

Arkansas...won't see my a$$ in that State or even near it!

Protect the children I guess.

You guys are bitching about this like children don’t have a choice to work or not

Republican Party, the party of family values my ass

I teach High School. I have tons of 14 and 15 year olds that really want to work, but have trouble finding jobs with all the restrictions.

Arkansans: Are you better off now than you were in... 1924?

I started working summers when I was 14. I helped contribute to the family and bought my first car at 16 without any help from my folks. So what’s wrong with that?

No abortions to save the children, so we can exploit the children.

So much for her election blabber about child safety

Remember when rolling Stone was just a cool music mag and now it's just a leftist propaganda outlet

So now my kid will have to carry books and homework home 😳😳😳😡😡😡😡

To be fair, this will only affect the poor. Rich kids don’t work.

Fake News

Good. My kids want to work and make money but stupid laws prohibit them from working part a certain hour or limited hours. Its evil.

Great misleading healine. Basically did away with “working papers” for 14 & 15 year olds and made it so they can apply for a job and be hired like a 16 would normally. By 14, you’re in high school and need money for pretty much everything. This is not for elementary school…

Whatever happened to free choice? It should be up to the child and the parents. If indeed children are being forced to work against their will or in dangerous situations they would be protected under other laws: child abuse, illegal immigration, human trafficking, etc.

The GOP is so prejudiced against migrant labor they are willing to let their children risk their life and health. Other states are eliminating liability from injury or even death on the job for children.

Well most of 'em don't want to be in school anyway. Might as well turn the clock back to 1900.

Somebody has to work at all those chicken processing plants in AR.

You have zero credibility

Terrible person governing a terrible state

The owner of Rolling Stone, Jay Penske, approves.

the right really misses their tradition of exploiting everyone...they really want to go make this america great again? ffs...

Based. Work experience is far more valuable for young people than spending the same amount of time in the internment camps we refer to as public schools.

Is Nike opening a factory in Arkansas?

My former son wanted to get a job when he was 9 years-old but I told him he had to choose between work and going on puberty blockers. Thankfully she made the right choice.

Might as well put those migrant children to work somewhere and make them useful. If they are working then you don't have to worry about educating them.
