Go to know. I WONT rent from enterprise

Insurance should just be part of the rental fee no matter what.

Sucks …but it’s a $50k car that you had in your possession when it was stolen. Pay up.

We should ban insurance all together it’s a scam

Awful..yes. But this is why you make sure insurance is in place.

People can not even rent a car now a days without it being stolen, and very little is being done by the car manufacturers. They can make it so you need a thumb print to start a car and put a GPS device in it just in case it is towed away/stolen. Governments are doing nothing.

Car rental companies should be ultimately responsible for the insurance on the vehicles and do their due diligence in confirming that they aren't renting to a risky driver.

No way.

No issue with this, he didn’t have proper insurance.

Unfortunate, but it's in the fine print, and they even offer you a chance to pay for insurance, which isn't that much. If you lose it, you have to pay for it.

Good! He deserves it.

Maybe should get his mommy involved?

How do you know the rental company is not involved with the vehicle being stolen. They are the ones who know if you bought extra insurance.

Did you repost because of the deliberately misleading headline on the first tweet?

These additional fees on various services are becoming a joke. The man did not steal that car !

Well it sucks, its on him. He chose not to take the proper precautions, so now he needs to pay.

It's in the fine print on the contract.
