PRDP did not provide other details about these undertakings such as the project cost and target completion.

“Agricultural productivity and farmers’ income are expected to increase and other socio-economic benefits in the localities are also expected to emerge after the construction of the FMRs,” it said. Separately, PRDP reported the improvement of the Banneng-Darulog-Bawac FMR in Tanudan, Kalinga province, was 40 percent complete as of March 7.

“The FMR subproject has a length of 6.16 kilometers with a project cost of P146 million. It is seen to provide better access to production areas coming from the project site thereby reducing postharvest losses, less travel time and encourage more the production of coffee within the road influence area,” it added.Subscribe to our daily newsletter
