The bad news is that Equal Pay Day is even still a thing in 2023 since pay equity remains a long way off.

But that gap is also indirectly a marker of time, since women on average earn less and therefore have to work longer just to break even with men. How much longer? Enter Equal Pay Day — an approximate measure of just how many months into the new year a woman has to work for her earnings to catch up with what a man made in the prior year. This year, Equal Pay Day falls on March 14.

For instance, the group notes that Equal Pay Day this year, relative to the average earnings of a White man, will come on April 5 for women who are Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islanders, on July 27 for Black women, on October 5 for Latina women and on November 30 for Native and Indigenous women. The Institute for Women’s Policy Research publishes an annual report breaking down the pay gap by occupation.

I'm guessing that you didn't control for job type when you used the census bureau's numbers. Did I guess correctly? If so, that is a mistake you should correct. (A similar mistake would be to compare the pay of female CEO's to the pay of male janitors. Absurd, isn't it?)

I'll believe in Pay Equality when there is evidence of Work Output Equality

If I could hire somebody for less and get the same job done, i’d be a fool not to hire them.

It's a lie. Women earn less because of life choices. Women with the same experience as men make as much as men do in the same jobs.

Shouldn't women just deal with it?

Nobody wants Equity, WE WANT EQUALITY

Yawn. Lies lies lies.

Stop spreading lies. There is no fever pay gap. Period. It is so easily disproven that you know you're lying at this point.

Fake news

The gender pay gap has been thoroughly debunked at this point. Yet another bullshit feminist talking point not supported by actual data.

Her we go,saying it isn’t true. The irony. Our experience gets man-splained. Why does this piss you off?Would you say that to a black person who faced workplace discrimation? This is all things being equal stats. Time out for kids etc Men take sabbaticals = more $ for them. Fact.

Typical, a Fake News outlet pushing manufactured narratives.

Does the census bureau's calculation control for work experience? (I am unfamiliar with that detail, but I assume the author has investigated that.)

Disinformation ☝🏼

Lies, lies, lies…….

Well, of course. Women are defective men.

Women tend to take more time out of the work force for family reasons. This is why they, on average miss promotions and higher pay.

Oh God forbid someone be compensated for what they're able to put out, what they are able to produce, what they are willing to put in.
