Stiles Patin, who tearfully hugged friends and family after the show and posed for pictures, was overwhelmed by the win.His mother said the win feels “incredible” because her son has come close to winning before. On Friday night, though, he finally did it.

It’s taken “a lot of mornings, nights, weekends, not getting to go to things,” to get to this win, Tammy Patin said.“It's a grind that never quits,” he said. “It's a passion. You got to have a passion for the game. You gotta love it.” Last year’s winning steer, Vanilla Ice, broke RodeoHouston records by selling for $1,000,000. King’s price will be determined at a Saturday morning auction.
