Taking over the Carpet Factory from its retiring owners is the first time working as a trio for Rob and Kim Paddon — owners of Whink! and Newfoundland Weavery — and her brother, Chris Sparkes, a Mr. Lube + Tires franchisee.

Presently, Carpet Factory does the majority of its business with residential clients, though Kim said the new owners are looking at making further inroads with commercial customers. All three owners are bringing unique attributes to the business, with Kim having a strong retail sales background, Rob being a good numbers guy and Sparkes bringing his operations expertise to the team. Kim said they'll be looking to up the business' social media game and engage more interior decorators as part of that growth strategy to"bring it to the next level."
