The company estimates the business will attract more than 700,000 visitors annually and create 150 jobs.“Our mission is to provide an atmosphere that fosters fun, friendship, and community and we are excited to bring that to Fishers,” said Dave Johnson, Founder of Chicken N Pickle, in a news release.

The 62-acre site will have 250 luxury apartments, 60,000 square feet of eateries and retail, 150 hotel rooms, and a 60,000-square-foot office building. The centerpiece will be a $170 million city-owned arena that will be home to the minor league Indianapolis Fuel hockey team and will host concerts and other events.

Fishers, Thompson Thrift and Indy Fuel officials will host a groundbreaking for the arena at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Chicken and Pickle is at least the second Fishers business to combine food and drink with pickleball. Mashcraft Brewing, atChicken N Pickle was founded in Kansas City, Missori, in 2016, and has seven locations in Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma.
