The 'Gamers' Lawsuit' against Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard has been tossed.

, they said that Activision was one of"only several independent game publishers in the world that are capable of making the highest production quality and most graphics-intensive videogames," and that any consolidation of those companies would invariably have a negative impact on videogame players.

I guess that's why I'm not a judge, because apparently those arguments don't hold water in California. On March 20, in, Judge Jacqueline Corley granted Microsoft's motion to dismiss the suit out of hand, noting that"The Complaint does not plausibly allege the merger creates a reasonable probability of anticompetitive effects in any relevant market".

Yall will still buy the next cod. Its the gamers fault for supporting them

Dumb ass take. This lawsuit was Dumb and frivolous. But you also think everyone should file a lawsuit against coke because it doesn't contain any coke now and it's false advertisement.

The so called gamers were die heart fans of Ps5. So it does not represent all gamers.

good glad it did gameing comity keeps going down hill fast cause we can't get along gameing will never be true good till it doesn't matter what system your on till we can all play together as one

RIP Blizzard

Honestly, activision and its brands are dying. Only thing holding the company up is call of duty, world of warcraft and candy crush. They NEED Microsoft to clean house and breath new life into the company.

I found evidence of the steam company valvesoftware manipulating their customers the head of the counterstrike2 department friends with white supremecist, and working with criminal gun skin scammers

Let em have it. Im ready for the new stuffs.

Just stop making a circus out of this damn deal. It's gonna happen whether you like it or not. Why? Cause there's a ton of money involved. A ton. And honestly I wouldn't mind MS taking over. Maybe they'll finally make WoW free or include a membership with Xbox game pass.

no more funding for Sony exclusives 😂

The best thing that could happen to blizzard is be bought by Microsoft! These guys must be Sony fanboys.

They never stood a chance anyway.

I’m glad it was tossed. 😂😂🤌

It was a childish ridiculous idea from the start. The FTC fair trades commison is not used to making decisions in the gaming community. But the more they learn the more they realise Sony PlayStation has been in breach of fair trade policy for a long time

Hard to come up with a more silly being than a console fanboy.

This is the ultimate price Sony fanboys are paying for those year long exclusive strike missions in Destiny 1

Maybe Sony will double down on quality exclusives. Personally idgaf I have ps5 and a PC so meh

'repressed' ? These are companies doing business. They aren't taking gamers rights away. They'll take their employees rights away though! We'll all lose out by the compartmentalization and layoffs soon to follow their merger though.

This ps fanboys rather pay thousands of dollar on a lawsuit than buying an Xbox LMAO.

“Gamers”

This never should been filed only shareholder's have a right, unless your going class action even then you have to show damage or probable damage because you don't like Microsoft doesn't cut it .

🤣

Wait, we all thought it was a joke... I mean it is a joke, but not the kind of joke we thought it was 🙄 The dumb thing is... nothing will actually change in how fucked up the industry is regardless if the deal goes or does not

thats stupid

Frivolous lawsuit out the gate.

‘Activision was one of 'only several independent game publishers in the world that are capable of making the highest production quality and most graphics-intensive videogames,'’ that’s 🧢

“the judge reckons the plaintiffs made several sweeping assertions without the facts to back them up.” This sums up all pony boy arguments.

In other words, consumers get rekt by less innovation, stagnation, and less choice. Big corpo always wins as they have money to influence any acquisition their way.

Good. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be duct taped to the flag pole and ridiculed relentlessly.

I read the article, and All I have to say is

Lfmao

HAHAHAHHAHA Get fucked

UK regulator U-turns on Activision acquisition, takes Microsoft's side on Call of DutyOne of Josh's first memories is of playing Quake 2 on the family computer when he was much too young to be doing that, and he's been irreparably game-brained ever since. His writing has been featured in Vice, Fanbyte, and the Financial Times. He'll play pretty much anything, and has written far too much on everything from visual novels to Assassin's Creed. His most profound loves are for CRPGs, immersive sims, and any game whose ambition outstrips its budget. He thinks you're all far too mean about Deus Ex: Invisible War. I'd be very surprised if they even knew what video games were. it's almost as if their calculations were pulled out their ass last month and they've since been corrected...
