An Irish investment distributor which raised nearly €100 million for a planned renewable energy plant in Britain paused fundraising for ten weeks last year to conduct financial due diligence.

Wealth Options Capital , which acts as a promoter and distributor of investment for Solar 21, a Dublin-based renewable energy firm, confirmed that fundraising has since resumed.

The reason for the pause in fundraising, which sought money to develop an energy from waste plant known as “project 2”, was related to ongoing delays in repaying investors of Solar’s first energy from waste plant.
