Preston Market developers will have to go back to the drawing board after the Andrews government announced new controls and a heritage overlay.

. But following an independent committee’s report, the state government will introduce height controls and a heritage overlay.

The report comes two months late. Planning Minister Sonya Kilkenny was expected to release the Victorian Planning Authority standing advisory committee report in early January after receiving it in December.
