State Farm Insurance tops D-FW list of surplus office space

at DFW International Airport and more than 200,000 square feet of space offered in Irving by insurer Allstate.

Other firms with extra offices they are offering include Tenet Healthcare, Galderma, Steward Health, Peloton and Salesforce.In all, more than 11 million square feet of sublease office space is available in North Texas, according to Transwestern’s first-quarter estimates. The sublease space is on top of more than 75 million square feet of direct office vacancy — mostly in older buildings.Some of the sublease space is snapped up by companies looking for a quick move.

That’s the case for Reata Pharmaceuticals, which recently took its Plano tower off the sublease market.
