Alice Springs business owner Darren Clark doubles down on urgent plea to fix wave of youth crime in Northern Territory

Stolen vehicles and break-ins including a retirement home which was broken into twice in two days were some of the issues occurring over the long weekend according to Alice Springs Mayor Matt Paterson. "They haven't got a safe home. I feel sorry for these kids. They're doing the wrong thing and no one condones that behaviour but there's a reason why they're doing this.

Alice Springs Mayor Matt Paterson has called for"more boots on the ground" to address the significant youth crime in the Northern Territory."We don't have enough police officers in the Northern Territory but certainly not in Alice Springs.
