The move comes six years after the company relocated its manufacturing operations to Texas in 2017.

Screen shot via Google MapsPaint retailer and manufacturer Kelly-Moore Paint Co., headquartered in San Carlos, will move its corporate offices to Irving, Texas after an economic incentives package for the company was approved, as first reported by the San Francisco Business Times.

The company will receive a $75,000 economic development grant from the Texas city while creating 30 new, full-time jobs with an average salary of $100,000, the Business Times reported. A move to the Dallas-Fort Worth area isn’t surprising for the company, since it relocated its manufacturing operations to Hurst, Texas, in 2017.

Founded in 1946, William H. Kelly and William E. Moore grew the company into a national chain of stores. Several major Bay Area companies have decamped to Texas in the past few years. Elon Musk announced in Oct. 2021 that Tesla’s headquarters would move from Palo Alto to Austin, while tech giants Oracle and Hewlett Packard Enterprise moved headquarters to the lone star state in 2020.Top Picks In Shopping
