The company said it still expects to deliver 400 to 450 airplanes in 2023, with plans to increase production to 38 per month later this year. According to CNN, analysts believe the end of red ink is not expected soon, as another loss is forecasted for the current quarter, leaving Boeing with a projected annual loss for the fifth-straight year.
Dave Calhoun, Boeing’s president and chief executive officer, said the company is moving forward despite recent supply chain disruptions, but he expects a turnaround as demand for their planes remains strong. “We continue to make real progress, steady progress in our recovery,” Calhoun said. “Challenges remain. There’s more to do. But overall, we feel good about the operational and financial outlook.”
