a.k.a “forever chemicals” are a popular addition to couches and other furniture. That’s because they have terrific anti-stain properties, which cause water to bead up and roll off. Unfortunately, there’s a catch: PFAS contaminates groundwater, causing harm to ecosystems. Studies have also linked PFAS to causing cancer, thyroid disorders and other health conditions.
