United States (US)-based solar energy firm Maxeon plans to make a $900 million solar energy investment in the Philippines that would create an estimated 3,000 jobs. ManilaBulletin

The company, which operates under the name of Sunpower Philippines Manufacturing Ltd., is a global leader in solar technology and innovation.

The President met with business leaders in a series of meetings at the Blair House in a bid to attract more investments to the country. During the meeting, Mulligan expressed his company’s confidence on the Marcos administration, citing this as reason his company plans to expand in the Philippines. So far, Maxeon Sunpower has started the expansion of their research and development facility in Cavite, providing around 2,000 engineering jobs in the area.
