The US Bank stocks dropping to 2020 lows has “significant differences” to the Australian market, says UNSW Associate Professor of Finance Mark Humphery-Jenner.

“The whole problem of the global financial crisis – well we’re seeing some resonances here but there are significant differences,” he told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.

“We’re mostly seeing this filter into the smaller regional banks at the moment, rather than the JP Morgans or the UBS or the city groups – that type of thing.”
