expect better ‘year two′ Ricky RubioIn an announcement Wednesday night, Mitchell was voted to the second team by a panel of 100 media members who were asked to choose two guards, two forwards and one center for each All-NBA team. With some players being eligible -- and receiving votes -- at multiple positions, those guys were slotted at the spot where they received the most voting points.

Both players received more first-team votes and finished about 50 total points ahead of Mitchell -- the 6-foot-3 shooting guard who earned 45 first-team votes, 36 second-team votes and 16 tallies for the third team.

Mitchell’s scoring average was the fifth-highest mark in franchise history -- and he became just the second player to average at least 28 points in a single season. James is the other.
