Calvin King was arrested after investigators alleged he became involved in a fight with the victim and ultimately shot him.

A man is facing weapons charges as officials investigate a fatal shooting that occurred following a fight at his tobacco shop.

City police officers were flagged down near East Main Street and Hillman Street at 1:14 a.m. on Saturday and located Kyheem Clark, 34, of Paterson, who was suffering a gunshot wound to the chest, authorities said. King has been charged with certain persons not to possess a weapon and unlawful possession of a shotgun, officials said. The circumstances surrounding the fatal encounter are still under investigation, according to Jonathan Barrera, senior assistant prosecutor for the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
