Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan has emphatically denied that he suggested to former Eskom CEO André de Ruyter that he gather intelligence on corruption and sabotage at Eskom, saying that he first heard about the intelligence-gathering operation six months into the contract.
Gordhan was answering questions at Parliament's Standing Committee on Public Accounts on what he knew about allegations of corruption made by De Ruyter in a television interview and a book published earlier this week.
