Decentralized social network Zion shot to the public eye when Jack Dorsey tweeted it as an example of what he mockingly calls Web5—mocking to so-called Web3 app that he thinks will soon be replaced by bitcoin. Now they’re generating ad-free revenue.

After beating a brain injury that left him with a metal plate his head, he’s out to do it again with Zion, a decentralized social network built on top of an identity protocol co-built by MicrosoftHis innovative business model, giving users the option to pay for extra Lightning features, is already generating revenue, and he thinks it is just starting to grow.
