Sky News host Peta Credlin says it would be the worst of all possible worlds if Labor and the Greens funded their spending spree by levying more taxes on the resources sector which is the main source of Australia’s export income.

The Opposition are considering if they present Labor with an alternative deal in order to avoid co-operation with the Greens.

“If the Coalition says yes on the basis that it is going to make a bad bill less bad – well then Greens then become irrelevant,” Ms Credlin said. “The Coalition should step in and support the tax increases while ensuring no further anti-business bells and whistles get added.”
