Harris fired coach Brett Brown in 2020 but soon found future Hall of Fame coach Doc Rivers unemployed, too, so he snagged him. A month later he hired Morey, an analytics pioneer and putative genius who had unexpectedly been fired as the Rockets’ GM, to be the Sixers’ team president.
