Josh Jacobs took a veiled shot at the Raiders on social media Tuesday.

Jacobs, one of the best running backs in the NFL, was slapped with the franchise tag earlier this offseason, and talks on a long-term deal have — apparently — not advanced to his liking.Jacobs, 25, would earn $10.1 million on the franchise tag in the 2023-24 season.Last season, Jacobs led the NFL in rushing yardage , rushing yards per game , yards from scrimmage and total touches .

“We feel strongly about him as a player and as a person and, hopefully, for us, we can get something done long-term,” Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels“We didn’t franchise tag him just to franchise tag; we did it to give us an opportunity to have a longer time to work through this.”Jacobs was also unhappy with the Raiders earlier this offseason when the franchise traded tight end Darren Waller to the Giants for a third-round pick.
