U.S. stocks finished mostly higher on Thursday, with both the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 bringing a three-day losing streak to an end. The S&P 500 SPX, +0.37% gained 16.16 points, or 0.4%, to finish at 4,381.85, according to preliminary closing data from FactSet. The Nasdaq Composite COMP, +0.95% rose by 128.
41 points, or 1.3%, to 13,630.61, per early closing data. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -0.01% was the only one of the main indexes to finish lower, falling 4.75 points, or less than 0.1%, to 33,947.04, its fourth straight day in the red. It’s the longest losing streak for the Dow since May 25, FactSet data show.
