As the suspended director general’s reputation is significantly damaged and the presenter’s belated apology was too little, too late, many questions remain unanswered

Examining the totality of Dee Forbes’ tenure as director general of RTÉ, it is fair to say that she made the issue of how the national broadcaster is funded her number one priority.

Sadly, for Forbes, she failed utterly to move the dial on that issue and having gone to war with government and lost, her record stood as one of failure, even before her suspension last Wednesday.
