“There are a lot of people who are just craving popularity and trying to please people in the Twittersphere,” he added. “Clearly, the way that the Prime Minister has proposed the voice and conducted himself in his campaign, the voice is not in our country's best interests. And on that basis, I hope that people can support us in other tangible ways of finding better outcomes for Indigenous Australians, which is what we all desire.”
“Instead of trying to deal with these things post the event, they should have had the proper processes in place to stop an event from taking place,” he added.
