President William Ruto has sent his condolences to loved ones of the 51 people killed in a horrific accident on Friday, June 30, 2023.

It is alleged that a large truck veered off a major highway, ploughing into other vehicles, pedestrians and traders at a market in the town of Londiani in Kericho county. Kericho Governor Erick Mutai said on July 1, 2023 that those killed in the truck crash included 2 children, 18 women and 31 men.
