Analysts view FGV’s recent proposed bonus issue as a positive move.

’s recent proposed bonus issue as a positive move, as the exercise allows existing shareholders to rebalance their portfolio exposure in the company.

Hong Leong Investment Bank Research said the completion of the bonus issue is expected to occur in the fourth quarter of 2023. HLIB Research said the separate listing and quotation of FGV RPS-i on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia will allow shareholders to trade these preference shares. The proposed bonus issue is not expected to have any effect on the issued share capital and earnings per share of FGV, as the shares will not be convertible into FGV shares.
