US stocks dip as Fed minutes suggest more rate hikes ahead

WALL Street stocks dipped yesterday as US Treasury bond yields pushed higher and minutes from the Federal Reserve’s June meeting signalled the possibility of more interest rate hikes ahead.

While the Fed voted last month to pause rate increases after 10 consecutive hikes, the Fed meeting minutes showed that policymakers believe two likely hikes will be needed in 2023 to bring inflation back down.
