Harrisburg’s Fire Department showed true dedication. Harrisburg residents should be both proud and grateful.And as much as we grieve a 145-year-old building that contained a treasure house of Harrisburg memories, we need to acknowledge we’re not grieving the loss of a single life. That is a blessing. A blessing, indeed.
The Broad Street Market’s restoration could even bring another blessing. It could become a powerful catalyst to unite our capital city with its neighboring communities. That doggone river has divided us for too long. If anything can bridge our divides and unite our people, maybe it’s joining hands across the waters to rebuild the Broad Street Market.Joyce M.
