“Recognizing the importance of preserving local businesses and the vibrant market culture, Penn Market has stepped forward as a beacon of support,” Penn Market shared in a press release.
“We understand the profound impact of the fire on the Broad Street Market community and the vendors who rely on it,” said Britney Walker, Penn Market’s market manager. “As a fellow market, we believe in the power of unity and collaboration. Opening our doors to the affected vendors is a small gesture to ensure their businesses can continue to thrive during this challenging time.”
No word on whether or not any of the Broad Street Market vendors are taking Penn Market or the mall up on the offers. Several vendors including Sweet 717 and Veg Out posted on social media that they plan to operate at the Broad Street Market’s outdoor courtyard.
