The amount of money wagered on sportsbooks and won by gamblers varies widely in Arizona. Some betting apps have even paid out more than they've won.

The NFL has announced five players, four of which are from the Detriot Lions, have been suspended for sports betting. Chris Bumbaca details their punishments.Arizona’s legal sports gambling generated nearly $2.4 billion worth of wagers from January through April 2023 alone.

The sportsbook operator with the largest market share, FanDuel, which partners with the Phoenix Suns, had about $891 million wagered on its mobile platform and in its retail location in the four-month period. That coincided with the second half of the NBA season and the runup to the playoffs for the Suns.

The amount sportsbooks have “won” after winning bets are paid out varied from 10% for BetMGM and Digital Gaming USA/Betway to -3% for Golden Nugget.
