Only users from a single household will be able to use an account, the streaming giant has said.

Streaming giant Netflix has announced its decision to end password sharing in India - a country in which it has millions of subscribers.It also said that emails would be sent to those flouting this rule.

It added that the company continues to "invest heavily in a wide variety of new films and TV shows - so whatever your taste, mood, or language and whoever you are watching with, there is always something satisfying to watch on Netflix".
