There's been a development tonight in the campaign for changes to bus safety regulations in the wake of the Hunter Valley crash which claimed the lives of 10 people. SophieUpcroft 9News MORE:

Alex Tigani was thrown from the bus and suffered minor injuries. He tried to save his friends but some couldn't be helped."It's a massacre," Tigani told 9News.

Now Bray, Tigani and the father of the groom John Gaffney have lobbied the transport minister to fund a national taskforce to overhaul safety in the bus industry. "I was surprised how bad it actually was in terms of an 80km speed zone and in terms of an egg-shaped roundabout with negative camber which means the road is sloping the wrong way," he said."When I say there's a gap in preventative safety for buses it's more than a gap, it's non-existent," Bray said.
