I've worked for ibanks and hedge funds as a PM. HFs typically charge '2 & 20' or 2% yearly on capital and 20% on high-water performance. Even RIAs charge half a %. An 'admin fee' of 2%. A WealthTax that has been entrenched in the accredited investor space since 1950. It's time
Screw bill gates. It's easy to pay a wealth tax when you have billions to tax. What about the small guy who try to use real estate or the market to fund their retirement. We're supposed to pay significantly more for delusional ideas by Communists like Cortez and Sanders?

What I think BillGates is that you have to solve the problems/illnesses that can spread to other countries, I believe that with a portion on your currency you can make the medicine to solve the illnesses & you can be President & do much more.

The millionaires should create an association to establish a basic income, first among the most needy and then among the entire population. But leave your money in the hands of the States, politicians who change and use it probably for other purposes? No, please! 😑

I don't think it's about billionaires but about people. People who aren't rich or even middle class shouldn't have to struggle just to live, have food to eat, and get medical services.
Sure he thinks it's fascinating, because whatever the tax is, it's just a drop in the bucket for him. There should be a huge wealth tax for billionaires worth over 3 billion. ( not corporations,but individuals-businesses should be taxed like normal ,because of jobs)

I think people are damn greedy! I think it’s also absurd for someone to tell me I have to be taxed more ie share my wealth with people lower than myself! I made that money with my own sweat and someone wants to take it away? Whatever!
Shouldn't the conversation really be about monopolistic and oligopolistic companies that created this wealth, but are highly likely to outlive the beneficiaries and may grow even more dominant as they age?
