The rural site that Country Garden paid $91 million for in 2017, and then sold for just $41 million in 2021, was seized by the Australian Federal Police in February.

Country Garden – or Risland as it is now known in Australia – paid $91 million in 2017 for the site in Cawdor and a recordThe Cawdor site is expected to sell for less than $40 million.

Bathla then sold the site to a company called Golden Capital Commercial Logistics for $47 million in September 2022. A photo provided by the Federal Police in February showing a suspect being led away from his Vaucluse home.While the asking price has not been disclosed, local valuers suggested it could now be worth less than $40 million.

Existing zoning permits a diverse range of uses including agriculture and rural industries, to include freight depots, places of worship, cemeteries and education.
