After several failed attempts to find a pop-up in Dallas that would accept her with her new business, she and other vendors, like“At first, it was difficult because we were selling four or five cups of elote, nothing more,” Del Villar said. “But little by little, things changed.” Now they sell 125 pounds almost every day.
“The importance for the business to be pink is for the empowerment of women of all ages — moms, little girls and everyone — just knowing that the power of women is that we can do anything, that everything is possible if we just put our mind to it,” Del Villar says.Now, 10 months after launching, Me Enloteces is the family’s breadwinner and even helped Del Villar’s mother-in-law leave her factory job.
