Searches are due to take place throughout the day (Thursday, August 17)

Police overseeing an investigation into alleged motor vehicle theft raided a business in Bulwell. Officers executed a warrant at an address in Cinder Hill Road at around 8.15am on Thursday morning .

The raid by officers from Operation Reacher, Nottingham North Neighbourhood Policing Team and the Tactical Support Group forms part of an ongoing investigation into the allegations. Sergeant Zoey Price, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Members of the public can expect to see a large police presence in the area while we carry out searches through the day. If anyone has any concerns please speak to an officer.“If anyone has any further information, please call 101, quoting incident number 130 of August 17, 2023, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”

Staff at nearby businesses were left surprised when they saw the police turn up. Anne-Marie Fitzwater, who owns Bella Nails and Beauty, said: "I came in at quarter past nine this morning and a police lady asked me about the exits. I then saw tactical police units drive past, I thought 'oh my God'."
